Upgrades

Here's a chronological list of upgrades I've done to my XJ

It's seriously outdated, so for a complete list of my XJ's specs, check out my specs-page.

PCW 15" aluminium wheels
Panther Wheels homepage
I bought these because I felt the old wheels weren't "sporty" enough :)
General Grabber ST 235/75-R15 tires
General Tire homepage
My old tires were getting worn and weren't that well-suited for offroad driving, so I thought these tires would be a bit better. In addition I wanted some tires with white letters on the sidewall, go figure :)
WAAG brush guard
WAAG homepage
The brush guard really made my XJ look better, which is perhaps the main reason for buying it :) But, I've had good use for it when driving offroad.
JKS Quicker Disconnects
JKS homepage
The front and rear anti-sway bars limits your Jeep's offroad articulation, but are essential for good on-road performance. So, having an easy solution for quickly disconnecting your anti-sway bar is handy. The JKS Quicker Disconnects are really easy to remove, cheap and easy to install. The rear anti-sway bar is usually completely removed, like I have on my XJ.

DZ FZ Running Boards
DZ homepage
I felt running boards/side steps would be a practical upgrade for my Jeep, especially since I had plans to lift it. They kinda look nice too. Installation was a bit hard, since I had drill a lot of new holes, but they are quite sturdy and can easily carry a grown man.
Bosch head lights
Bosch homepage
These 100W lights really make alot of difference when driving at night. The difference between these and regular night-lights are enormous.
K&N cone Filter Charger
K&N homepage
There are at least two advantages with this air filter, compared to the stock air filter. Better performance and they can be cleaned, instead of replaced, when dirty. (and the sound is quite nice too:). Installation was easy. Just remove the old air filter box, and then install the new air tube (f.ex from Rusty's) and filter.
Gloria fire extinguisher
Gloria homepage
A must for every car. Installation is pretty straight forward. Just find an easy accessible spot and then install the mounting bracket.
Yokohama Geolandar A/T+II 245/70-R16 tires and MIM 8x16 wheels
Yokohama homepage / MIM homepage
I wanted some better and larger tires, and the Yokohama Geolandar tires were among the most popular All Terrain tires. Both on- and offroad performance have been much better than the previous General Grabber ST tires.
Defa car alarm
Defa homepage
A car alarm system is always nice to have :)

Custom 4x4 Tail Light Guards
Custom 4x4 homepage
Since I already had the WAAG brush guard, I though these tail light guards would be a nice addition and give my Jeep a more complete look. The installation was the simplest I've done so far.
Old Man Emu 2" lift-kit
Old Man Emu homepage
Maybe the best upgrade I've done so far. Worth every penny. The installation is covered in this article.
Garvin Industries Roof rack
Garvin Industries homepage
A roof rack is very useful for very many things. Eg. mounting a spare tire, shovels, axes, jacks etc etc.
